Diving in Borneo

Wet tropical forests penetrate many deep and not very deep rivers, which are sometimes the only possible way through impenetrable thickets. In the jungle, in addition to a huge number of different plants, you can meet representatives of more than twenty unique ethnic groups, each of which has its own mores and customs. In Sarawak, you can visit an ethnographic village that combines several villages that are unique in style. Another attraction of Sarawak are caves, decorated with drawings of ancient artists. There is also an orangutan rehabilitation center, two state reserves and a crocodile farm.

In the state of Sabah, you can visit the Gomatong caves, famous for having built hundreds of swift swifts there, and the Turtle Islands (tortoise islands) on the northeast coast of Sabah will surprise you with an abundance of diverse inhabitants, and, first of all, of course, giant turtles, for which these islands have long become a favorite habitat.

If you decide to practice diving, oh. Borneo is the safest place for this, because it is here that the magnificent tropical beaches are reliably protected from too large waves by coral islands. For all people who love diving, Borneo is primarily Sipadan, where the legendary explorer Jacques-Cousteau visited. It was after his visit that Sipadan became one of the most famous places for diving, and now there are as many as thirteen dive sites where you can dive at any time of the year.
